The Patent Pending 3Dfier
is a directshow filter that transforms normal video file to 3D in realtime. 3Dfier filter works with popular media players and support various video format as long as the files were played using direcshow.
Here you can download demo versions for evaluation purpose. This demo version runs for around 10 minutes. We are happy to work with 3D display makers/OEMs to customize a filter that works for the specifc display. Anaglyph is not the best way you can view 3D with 3Dfier filter but it is most easily available. 3Dfier works perfectly with side-by-side 3D Displays such as iZ3D monitor. It also works with 3D Vision Video Player and Stereoscopic Player that supports multiple 3D Display devices including Zalman 3D monitor, nVidia 3D Vision, e-Dimensional shutter glasses and 3DTVs. Current version works with most versions of Media Player Classic. It also works with DVBViewer and allows you to watch DVB TV channels in 3D. I have download 3DfierSBSDemo and find it amazing. But I have a question to ask that maybe you could help me.
After applying 3DfierSBSDemo to IZ3DPlayer & see the difference from 2D to 3D, can I save it with all anaglyph 3D effect? I tried but the result still in 2D. How can I save the new movie with anaglyph 3D effect?
I hope you'd like to answer to my email at heri.sadhono[at]gmail[dot]com

Thankyou

Hello. 1st I want to say GRATS for the Filter its really amazing. But from what i've tested lacks some optimizations (left and right eye frames aren't SYNCED at high motion frames):

I have tested with 720p and DVD clips the v.0.2 demo and here is what I found out:

- everything is ok at video with slow animation.
- However if there are many action scenes or high motion scenes, the generated scenes (for the other eye) tends to be left behind 1-2 seconds. At 1st this is bearable, but after viewing multiple clips this makes you dizzy, because the brain sense this and you can't really focus on the scenes.

- Since a movie is a digital source of video, not analog and any portion can be accessed at any time, I suggest the following:

- to generate the frames effectively the computations for deform, skew etc should be done in advance, NOT on the displayed frame, because by the time the frame is calculated and deformed and displayed, the next frame(original) frame is displayed.
So i suggest the computations should be made on lets say 10 frames in advance from the currently displayed one (original one) and displayed synced with the current frame. This way you will always have 10 frames computed in advance from the currently displayed frame (original frame).

Another approach is that both left and right eye frames should be displayed with a delay of lets say 1ms or so (1ms needed for calculation of deformed frame)When the deformed frame is done calculated, it should be displayed and the original frame synced with this one. This way both the frames for l and r eyes should be synced.

OFC this is just the concept.
I don't know how the actual implementation should look, because I don't know how the filter source actually looks.

Another ideea is to improve multi-core usage. SO far I kinda saw that only 1 core is used for calculations.

My PC Specs are :
AMD X4 955 3.2GhZ Quad-CORE
4gb DDR3 Kingstone Xfire.
nvidia Gtx 265 made by Asus
3D Vision +Samsung 2233rz monitor.

Hope you guys from 3Dfier read this.
Also if you want to contact me for more testing or so , do this at vasilovicioctavian@ymail.com. After all this is what I do for a living (Test Engineer).

Best regards.

Octavian, thanks for your great feedback. We are considering to provide an option to turn off the Motion effect so as to avoid the possible dizziness. However, it will also sacrifice the 3D-ness of the video. We might provide it to the formal release we are now working on.

I bought the v1.0.1 Really nice improvements! Also I noticed the filter is way better optimized as I can see 1080p videos with no lag and almost no CPU load at all (about 30% of all 4 cores). I am really glad to see some multi core optimizations on this filter! Also the rendering algorithm seems to be better at calculation depth for varios objects.

But , I want to ask if you guys worked on the -1 frame problem on one of the eye. I watched many dinamyc trailers download from the web, and on high motion sceenes, one eye tends to remain behind. How can I improve the perfomance on this? You were saying about some optimizations regarding this. Are these included in the current version? I have tested with default depth.

Best regards

Hello..I tried your filter, but I don't have 3d effect...I use stereoscopic, try to change side by side left before, also right...choose red and cyan and also green and magenta (I have both glasses)....
You can give me an example to have 3d effects?thanks

ps: using a original 3d movie I don't have problem with stereoscopic (with 2d->3d filter disabled)

Guys your program is very nice!!
But i think it's a good idea to make it work with Media Player Classic Home Cinema (i think the most popular HD Player and for me the best of all) in DXVA mode, so the most work made it the graphic adapter (like AMD ATI cards) and this is the best for me and others users especially for 3d half side by side mkv hd videos... ;)

Hi, can you say when the full 3D Vision support comes out. I want to watch live 3D TV (SBS) with dvbviewer.
Can i buy a beta version from you?

When trying the evaluation version, I noticed that one side (either the left or the right depending on swap) is always out of focus. It appears to be that the images on the one side of the screen do not align properly and make it very awkward to view. I would LOVE to purchase this filter; however, until that issue its fixed, the viewing experience is not worth it.
